Hi,
For the new season, I have been thinking about fitting a more powerful kicking strap and like the idea of a 16:1 cascade system.
I have had a look at the pictures in the Hints and Tips Section. I think that the cascade system as shown in the 2nd and 3rd picture uses 4 single blocks with all the red lines coming back to a single point on the foot of the mast.
Can anyone confirm that this is correct as it is a little unclear from the pictures. I assume also that this is therefore not a continuous line but 3 separate lines.
Any help gratefully appreciated.
thanks

It is three separate lines set up in a cascade.
It works very well with minimal friction. I put it on my boat when I bought her last year.
The only issue I have had is that the final blocks get a bit close when it is windy. This is partly caused by needing to allow for two mains with slightly different leach lengths. For this season I intend to reduce the cascades by putting a two to one into the first line by having a block with a becket on the boom and running a line from this to a block at the mast and back through the boom block and then into a cascade.
