The weight of heavy (eager or tired?) crew leaning on the guard rails puts quite a strain on the simple two-point mounting of the Sonata pushpit. The Sonata Association used to be able to supply “third legs” made of stainless steel tubing but these are no longer available. The photo of Ey-up below shows a simple, neat and effective alternative: a short strop of stainless steel wire attached by a simple bracket at the top and a lacing eye bolted through below.
