Which Anchor

Hi, Can anyone advise the weight of anchor & size / length of chain is best for Sonata’s.

The tackle we currently use holds the boat no-problem but ‘feels’ over the top & probably weighs a ton.

At risk of stating the obvious, how about starting with the class rules? I guess that’s what the designer thought was a reasonable minimum.

7.1.4 Anchor of not less than 6kg in weight, together with at least 2m of 3/16″ linked chain and an anchor warp of not less than 20m in length or less than 10mm in diameter.
